PTOC Membership

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is seeking members for its Parcel Tax Oversight Committee.

The PTOC consists of at least nine (9) committee members and one (1) alternate who shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Board of Education.  The committee  provides oversight for the Board to ensure that the funds are spent as intended by the voters of the parcel tax.  The committee will meet at least twice per year and report on an annual basis to the Board and community on how these funds have been spent.  All meetings are open to the public. 

Four (4) members will be appointed by the school board and serve a two-year term.  They will not be compensated and will serve no more than two consecutive terms.  Members shall reside within the boundaries of the SRVUSD and shall be registered voters.

The community will be informed of the opportunity to participant on this committee through information placed in the local newspaper, PTA, district websites, School Messenger communication and through communications with the local public agencies. 

Timeline for the selection process is as follows:

  • Communication to the community to begin on April 11, 2018
  • All applications to be received no later than 4pm on May 16, 2018
  • The Superintendent, Board President and PTOC Board Liaison will review all applications and make a recommendation to the whole board at the June 12, 2018 board meeting
  • Members may be appointed at the June 12, 2018 meeting
  • Member terms are effective immediately
