SRVUSD COVID-19 Test Appointments for Students Only: 01.07.22
Posted 1/7/22

Dear SRVUSD Community,

We are so appreciative to our community of families, volunteers, custodians, warehouse staff, and other district employees who participated in the mass distribution of our student test kits. It was an enormous undertaking that successfully saw all 30,000 test kits distributed in a two-day event. The traffic lines were long at times, but everyone who came through our four distribution sites was patient and thankful for the test kits.

All student test kits have been claimed and we have canceled the distribution scheduled for the Education Center on Monday, January 10.

We understand that some of our families may have been out of town or unable to attend one of our distribution sites, and we also know that some people were in line waiting, and did not receive a test kit. Therefore we have arranged a special “students-only” test day at Iron Horse Middle School on Monday, January 10. There will be more than 1,000 appointments available. We ask that only those students who were unable to receive a home test kit schedule an appointment for the “students-only” test day, as there are limited appointments.

This will be a nasal swab Antigen (Rapid) test completed by our test vendor, Agile, and students will need to register with Global Virus Pass (GVP) in order to reserve an appointment time. If your student has previously registered with GVP you only need to select an appointment time. Your student’s information is already in the system.

Student Only Testing

Date: Monday, January 10, 2022

Time: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Location: Iron Horse Middle School, Multi-purpose Room (MPR)

2601 Alcosta Blvd., San Ramon

In order to accommodate as many students as possible on Monday, we are asking that you follow these important guidelines for testing at Iron Horse on Monday, January 10.

  • Time slots on Monday, January 10 are reserved for SRVUSD students only. Our regular testing is still available at the Education Center if other family members need to receive a COVID-19 test (see the information below).

  • Please only register for testing at Iron Horse if you were unable to pick up a student home test kit.

  • Students will need to bring either a student school ID card or a print/screenshot from Infinite Campus showing the student’s school and name, along with the confirmation email from GVP.

  • Face coverings must continue to be worn indoors at all times while on District campuses, including inside the MPR at Iron Horse Middle School.

We also want to share that we will be providing our community with updates next week regarding COVID isolation guidelines as announced in this press release. SRVUSD will align our isolation protocols to this new guidance. Additionally, we were just notified today by the Contra Costa County Office of Education to submit the request for our allotment of N95 masks being provided by the state. Our request is for a 10-day supply for every SRVUSD student and staff member. Wearing N95 masks will be optional, and we will distribute these at school sites. We will update you when we have more information.

We want to thank you in advance for your collaboration, trust, and understanding as we safely return to school on Tuesday, January 11. When we have additional updates we will be certain to communicate that with you all as quickly as possible.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us at if you have any questions.
