High School Summer Programs

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is excited to share information about our summer learning programs.  Through our Personalized Learning Initiatives, SRVUSD is expanding educational opportunities for students during the summer months. These options are only available to students beginning  the second semester of their 8th grade year.

Last summer, our high school school summer programs included:

  • Offering SRVUSD high school summer school courses beyond remediation. High school students were able to take SRVUSD summer classes to advance and fulfill graduation requirements.

  • Accepting accredited non-district courses to meet SRVUSD advancement or graduation requirements and be included on official transcripts.

  • Partnering with Diablo Valley College to host summer courses on SRVUSD campuses.

2018 Summer School Program Presentation

(This presentation is from last year.  Please note that some of the programs and procedures may change for the 2019 program.  We will post the updated information about the 2019 Summer School Programs in mid to late January 2019.)

Our 2019 Summer Program will be announced in early 2019.

NOTE: ONLY students currently enrolled in SRVUSD are eligible to register and take the summer school courses.

  • 8th grade students are eligible to begin the advancement process beginning the second semester of their 8th grade year, and not before. (7th grade students are not eligible.)
  • Courses that are going to be used to fulfill graduation requirements  (i.e. Algebra 1 and Biology) cannot be completed prior to the end of the 8th grade year.  For current 8th graders, coursework must not begin until January of 2019 and must not be completed until June 1, 2019 or later.
  • Course enrollment and completion dates will be checked during the application approval process.
    • Courses that begin prior to the beginning of the second semester will not be approved.
    • Courses that end prior to the completion of the 8th grade year will not be accepted for graduation requirement fulfillment and cannot be placed on the high school transcript.

Information about our 2019 Summer Programs will be posted in early 2019.
