High School Summer Programs

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is excited to share information about our summer learning programs.  Through our Personalized Learning Initiatives, SRVUSD has expanded educational opportunities for students during the summer months. These options are only available to students beginning  the second semester of their 8th grade year (see note below).

This year, our offerings will include:

  • Remediation Summer School for students who have failed a class
  • SRVUSD Summer School courses that can be used for advancement and/or graduation requirement fulfillment
  • Advancement Via Outside Institutions
  • Graduation Requirement Fulfillment Via Outside institutions

See the links to the right for detailed information including deadlines and timelines.

Note: At this time, we are unsure of the status of the SRVUSD/DVC partnership.  We will update this page as more information comes available.

NOTE: ONLY students currently enrolled in SRVUSD are eligible to register and take the summer school courses.

Important Note to Parents of Eighth Graders
  • 8th grade students are eligible to begin the advancement process beginning the second semester of their 8th grade year, and not before. (7th grade students are not eligible.)
  • Courses that are going to be used to fulfill graduation requirements  (i.e. Algebra 1 and Biology) cannot be completed prior to the end of the 8th grade year.  For current 8th graders, coursework must not begin until January of 2020 and must not be completed until June 1, 2020 or later.
  • Course enrollment and completion dates will be checked during the application approval process.
    • Courses that begin prior to the beginning of the second semester will not be approved.
    • Courses that end prior to the completion of the 8th grade year will not be accepted for graduation requirement fulfillment and cannot be placed on the high school transcript.
