SRVUSD Ranks #1 in State for ELA and Math

SRVUSD Has Reason to Celebrate!

The California Department of Education (CDE) and the State Board of Education (SBE) launched the second version of the California School Dashboard, a website that gives parents, students and educators access to valuable school and district data. The new Dashboard has the most current data available, including 2018 test scores and graduation rates.

Based on the results of the 2018 CAASPP testing, the SRVUSD ranked #1 statewide in both English Language Arts (ELA) and Math for school districts with enrollment over 20,000 students. These results reflect the dedication of a community that values education, educators who work to continuously improve and reach every child, as well as the commitment of our students to engage in their learning and perform at high levels.

The Dashboard replaces the state’s former accountability system—the Academic Performance Index (API), which relied exclusively on standardized tests and gave schools a single score. The Dashboard, which uses multiple measures to evaluate schools and Districts, provides two main purposes: At the local level, the Dashboard helps communities identify strengths and challenges and align resources to support students who are struggling academically. On the state level, the indicators determine which districts are eligible for tailored assistance through the State System of Support, a connected network of agencies throughout California.

For more information, please visit the California Accountability Model & School Dashboard Web page at http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/cm/index.asp.

To view the Dashboard for the SRVUSD and its schools, please visit https://www.caschooldashboard.org/ and search for San Ramon Valley Unified to get DIstrict-wide results or for any individual school to see site-specific results.
