SRVUSD Board Member Announces Resignation

On Friday, May 4, 2018, San Ramon Valley Unified School District Board Member Denise Jennison announced her resignation from the Board of Education, effective May 23, 2018.

“Due to recent developments in my life that have made it difficult for me to continue serving, I am resigning from my position on the Board of Education of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District,” Jennison said. “It has been my distinct pleasure to serve alongside some of the best board members, educators, administrators, staff members and volunteers in education. Together, I know that we have built one of the finest public education communities in the State of California and I am forever humbled knowing that I played some part in making that happen.”

On Tuesday, May 8, 2018, the Board of Education will take action at its Board meeting on next steps. The Board has three options to consider:

  • Fill the position through a provisional appointment

  • Call for a special election

  • Continue with four Board members until the November election

Following the May 8 board meeting, SRVUSD will share the Board’s decision with staff, parents and the community.
